Hotels near Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House

The most famous of all the open air film events in London, Summer Screen returns to Somerset House in association with Film4 to bring cinema lovers a truly eclectic mix of movies. The 2017 line-up includes three UK premieres: Al Gore introduces in person An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power; current Palme d'Or contender The Square; and Patti Cake$ which closes the festival with the director and cast in attendance. The festival marks the 50th anniversary of Blow-Up, there are double-bill pairings of Donnie Darko with The Omen, Jaws and Deliverance as well as Bhaji on the Beach, In Bruges and triple Academy Award winner Moonlight. Ahead of each film, DJs play sets inspired by the upcoming movie, providing the perfect soundtrack to pre-film al fresco picnics. There will also be live introductions from familiar faces from the film world and a series of Behind the Screen talks from illustrious industry talent.
