Visit Madame Tussauds including SCREAM (Discounted)

In 1835, Marie Tussaud - former sculptor to the court of Louis XVI - established a sideshow of waxworks of famous contemporary and historical figures (not to mention some gruesome relics of the French Revolution). Today, queues stretch hundreds of metres down Marylebone Road all summer long, as tourists and children rush to rub shoulders with Kylie, Posh, Becks, and Brad Pitt. In addition to some astonishingly lifelike sculptures, there are also a number of interactive attractions: you can score a winning goal for England under the watchful eye of David Beckham, give a speech at the UN flanked by world leaders, or sing and dance on stage with Beyonce, Britney and Kylie. If that's not terrifying enough there's always the incredibly popular and gorgeously gory Chamber of Horrors.

Today, this once small sideshow has evolved into a mammoth and totally interactive experience. In addition to some astonishingly lifelike sculptures, there are also a number of interactive attractions including…

New Figure Launches for 2010

Michelle Obama visits Madame Tussauds London to celebrate Barack’s first year as President. The wax figure of the First Lady will be at Madame Tussauds for a limited period only, featuring alongside Mr Obama’s figure which was unveiled one year ago.

Liverpool Skipper and England favourite, Steven Gerrard, joins the interactive sports zone of Madame Tussauds in February Half Term.

Leona Lewis- X Factor winner and superstar songstress, Leona Lewis, fulfils a childhood ambition as her new figure takes centre stage at Madame Tussauds London. The 24 year old multi-platinum selling star who was catapulted to international stardom after winning the X Factor in 2006, will join an A-list line up of music legends from Hendrix to Jackson in the attraction’s interactive Music Zone. She s portrayed clutching a microphone about to burst into song and guests are invited to get up close and personal and join the performance on stage. Looking every inch the glamorous diva, Leona wears a short sparkling silver dress set off by a pair of 5 inch satin stilettos. Her hair is casually tousled over her shoulders. The singer gave a sitting for the Madame Tussauds studios team where over 300 measurements and a catalogue of reference shots were taken. The figure took four months to create at a cost of £150,000.
