Just off High Street Kensington this high rise hotel benefits from a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars outside its door. Kensington Palace and Gardens are within walking distance while the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Royal Albert Hall are close by. There are two on-site restaurants, a bar and ticket office and Club rooms on the upper two levels offer lovely views over the city.

This “ideally situated” hotel is in a “perfect location off High Street Kensington and close to Kensington Gardens” where the “neighbourhood felt safe”. Described variously as “clean, smart & soulless”, it does nevertheless offer “good value for money”. While the lobby and upper club levels were up to standard, other areas “were not at the level you would expect of a 4* hotel” with standard rooms “run down and in need of a makeover”. The “friendly welcome”, “exceptionally friendly and helpful” doormen and “superb service” from “courteous” staff does however help make up for this.

The doorman worked very hard in the freezing snow to
get taxis for the guests,,! Good hotel to shop from but
rather hot in the rooms so difficult to judge the outside
temperature as windows won,t open. |

I've stayed here several times before but although the reception areas are bright, welcoming and well maintained I did feel the bedrooms and bathrooms were badly in need of a refresh. My bed had a broken leg and although I was moved to a new room I did wonder why whoever had made the bed hadn't reported the fault. |
