The hotel’s “location close to Oxford Street” was convenient for guests who “felt welcome on arrival” thanks to the “very helpful staff (who) made the experience so much the better”. One or two visitors had unfortunate experiences: one “had problems receiving telephone messages” while another found “my room was not made up until the afternoon”. But these were the exceptions and happy customers noted the “nice design in the room”; one went as far as saying, “on the whole our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, we found it to be clean, tidy and well presented with a calm, quiet feel to the place”.
