Near to the British Museum, this Edwardian hotel is something of a Bloomsbury landmark. Relaunched in January 2009 following a '25million makeover, each of the 174 rooms comes with flat screen TVs and complimentary wireless - something more hotels should do as standard. Tasteful d'cor means you get muted tones, accents of colour and marble in the en suite bathroom. This scheme extends to a plush lobby and respectable restaurant.
Rating: 81% of LondonTown customers would recommend to a friend - 4.3 out of 5 based on 227 customers surveyed

Customer reviews for Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel

Edited summary of customer comments

-- Guests appreciated the way they “were made to feel special” at this hotel whose décor is “in keeping with the building’s 1930s origins”. The “superb central location” meant the hotel “was very well situated and made sightseeing, shopping and theatre venues very accessible”. “Welcoming and friendly staff” were “professional” in all areas of service – from the front desk to room service and cleaning; “superb” cooked breakfasts were typically described as “very tasty and excellent quality food”. One guest who did have some advice to pass on said, “Whilst I would book the hotel again as the location is v. good I would not recommend that particular room (a deluxe room in the Churchill Suite)” – “the noise from the traffic outside made sleep impossible.” This was the exception, however, with most describing their “good size bedroom” with “comfortable beds” and “large bathroom” and one guest in particular liked their “Quiet room facing the back”. --

Most recent feedback from actual LondonTown.com customers

Really good location for the West End and Covent Garden, very helpful reception staff, lovely clean room, although rather on the small side, only negative comment the bathroom was freezing cold, heated towel rail but no radiator and the sash window was letting the cold in, a shame as this was the only thing that spoilt the stay and I might think twice about staying again because of this.

Joanne from Waltham Gimsby, United Kingdom would recommend this hotel to a friend

We had a lovely stay at the Edwardian Blue Hotel, The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately I was suffering a dislocated knee at the time and was confined to the hotel. The reception put us in a larger bedded room on the 1st floor and were very kind and helpful. We had to return home next day earlier than planned and they gave us a refund on our 2nd day. I would deffinately stay there again when I am better. We will be writing our thanks to the hotel direct as well.

Sheila from Dover, United Kingdom would recommend this hotel to a friend

The Hotel was Ok, the reception staff were polite and helpful. The room we were put in appeared to be the overspill room as the hotel was very busy, it was small and had no window except in the bathroom and had aview of a brickwall, so poor value for money when compared with other London Hotels. It took ages to be served in the bar, we walked out in the end and went elsewhere. The costly cooked breakfast buffet was cold. Based on this I wouldn't go back to this hotel if others were available.

Paul from Falmouth, United Kingdom would not recommend this hotel to a friend

Fabulous hotel fab location after 4 stays always something new to explore. Brought 6 friends and family who will definitely be back to stay 1 room was not available for check in but immediately upgraded to executive suite hows that for service
