This West End Art Deco hotel right on the Strand and next to Covent Garden is in a fantastic location for accessing central London and theatreland. Although much of the original 1930s décor was taken out in the sixties, the hotel boasts an impressive marble foyer and Art Deco touches - see the lower ground floor staircase. The imposing nine-storey building houses 783 rooms, a late license bar and brasserie restaurant.

The only slight thing was that there was a noise from quite early in the morning that woke me up and didn't stop. It was a continuous noise, not like aircon or anything I recognised. Apart from that, everything was very good. |
