Set in the heart of the West End, Thistle Holborn - The Kingsley is well positioned with the British Museum very close by and the entertainments of Covent Garden not much further away. This fine late Victorian hotel is traditional but tidy and all the bedrooms offer modern facilities including wireless internet access (at an additional cost).

“Attractively decorated” “good-sized rooms” with “nice, comfortable bedding” are “spacious and clean” at this hotel housed in a “lovely old building”. It’s this kind of attention to detail that prompts visitors to “recommend this hotel to family and friends” and vow that they “will be booking again”. Loyal guests “have stayed about 5 times so obviously like it”. The service, meeting space, location and “value for money” have all been noted as plus points. The central location “about a block or two” from Holborn Tube station means it’s convenient for arrivals from Heathrow (direct on the Piccadilly line) as well as for the British Museum and Oxford Street shopping. Guests enjoyed the facilities including the “lovely” bar and rated breakfast highly, variously describing it as “very nice indeed” and offering a “good variety of well-cooked food”.

Service was very curtious and proactive.
Was surprised however at getting charged a service charge for 2 hot chocolates when I oredered them directly from the bar and was sitting at a table a stones throw away from it....should the price not be as advertised in the menu?? I would stay in this hotel again.  |

Our stay at the Thistle hotel was amazing. Both my wife and i couldnt ask for better service, we were looked after from the minute we arrived, nothing was to much trouble, the staff were helpfull and very friendly. Sonia was very helpfull and made us so welcome, we wont be staying anywhere else other than the thistle on future trips to London
