We received almost nothing but the highest praise for this “understated but stylish” hotel. A few guests cast about for something to put in our ‘dislikes’ box, but they mostly came up with things like “drinks were a little pricey in the champagne bar” and “that you have to pay for things like TV, radio, ...” and “lack of free wireless internet”. Mostly, people talked about the things they liked, namely the “space, comfort, quiet”, “a gigantic bed and telly”, “the iPod dock”, ”excellent shower facilities” and “quite a busy area but no noise at all (this includes the cleaners in the morning)”. For nightlife, there’s a “Great Champagne and Oyster bar with live DJ” and nearby, there “is so much going on around Shoreditch which is a great advantage”.

Really wonderful hotel in a great location; decor was
hip and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was
that the rooms were more or less climate controlled
and I felt warm most of the time, plus the plumbing
system was odd and my shower made a sucking
noise for hours at a time. But other than this, this
was a great place and I'd stay there again (hopefully
soon). |
