A fantastic nineteenth century exterior hides a thoroughly modern hotel, with clean, minimalist design in the rooms. The biggest draw is the location, in the very heart of the West End, within walking distance of many of London's biggest attractions and best bars, shops and restaurants. Though it is short of flashy extras, this is a good choice if you want a mid-price hotel at the heart of the Capital.

Some of the “biggest” and “best” beds around furnish this well-positioned, “clean and modern” hotel with “very stylish and very clean” rooms. Despite its “prime” location just “steps from” Trafalgar Square and central London’s museums and theatres, the hotel is overridingly “quiet”. Although suffering from “ugly” views from a few of its rooms, there are a flurry of “nice touches” and “lots of unexpected extras”: a “beautiful and comfortable” lounge with computers, free ice, water and coffee machines, LCD TVs and “really useful” kitchenettes with fridges in some rooms (“great for storing beer and wine”) - puts “anything in NYC to shame for the same price”. While the “small, busy” reception area has a tendency to overcrowding and subsequently “slow” check-ins, the foyer’s “impressive” décor often “exceeds expectations” duping guests of this “reasonably-priced” venue to think that they’re in the “wrong hotel”. The free internet access proves “handy” when it comes to “planning a little sightseeing”.

The staff were very helpful and friendly,and the hotel was lovely,but only 4 rooms in it have bath tubs,which was a disappointment as I would have liked a bath instead of a shower.But as everything else was great that is only a little grumble.  |

A pleasant and attractive hotel, great location and easy parking
nearby. The only downside was the room was excessively hot, it
was uncomfortable to sleep in and i had to have the window
open all night despite it being the middle of January. |
