Three 1869 townhouses combine to make The Cranley, a tranquil temporary residence within walking distance of Gloucester Road Tube. Each of the 39 rooms is individually styled so you may find a four poster bed in one room or a mahogany writing desk in the next. There's no dining room, instead breakfast is delivered to your room every morning. Complimentary afternoon tea and, later, a free glass of champagne are nice touches too.
