Take care booking this hotel, for though there was praise for the “very friendly staff”, the “comfortable” bed and the “good choice of draught beer and drinks” in the bar area, some people in rooms facing the road found it “very noisy”: “You need to improve the double-glazing on the windows” was the advice while others commented on the “road outside and could not shut window”. However one visitor noted it was, “Not as noisy as we were expecting after reading various reviews and we were over looking the main road” and most people “enjoyed our stay, would use again” and one even named it “the best hotel so far in London that I stayed at”.

My Husband and I were excited to come up to London as a treat, our little boy was being looked after by family. The room we were given was in fact a single so we were slightly miffed over this, although once we approached reception it was changed with no fuss at all. Lovely hotel, Breakfast and good location. |

WE booked this hotel at a good price but was
very disappointed with the size of the room. We
booked a double room and although we had a
double bed the bed was against a wall on one
side so we could only access the bed from one
side or the bottom of the bed. There was also a
table at the foot of the bed making it more
difficult to get on or off of the bed. Although we
did not pay full price for the room we did pay a
reasonable amount for one night and would at
least expect to be able to get in either side of
the bed. I feel this room was a double room for
single use. |

I didn't think it was good value. Carpet shabby and in need of cleaning in bedroom, and the chair had threadbare arms. Could have done without the piped music in the dining room. But the bathroom was spotless and the bed and bedclothes just right. And I appreciated being able to alter the temperature if necessary in bedroom. |
