This is Gatwick Airport's most convenient and stylish hotel, linked to the South Terminal by a covered walkway. For entertainment there are two restaurants, two bars, Costa Coffee, internet access and a 24-hour gym. The imposing lobby is covered with a glass portico and all 821 rooms are triple-glazed. Good train connections to London and south east England (it's 30 minutes to Victoria Station and Brighton). Also if you are flying from the North Terminal, the two terminals are connected by a free shuttle bus, and average journey time is just five minutes.

Thoroughly recommend the Gatwick Hilton. It was spot
on in every way. Lovely room- clean and fresh, huge
comfortable bed, relaxing lounge, professional and
friendly staff, easy and convenient access to the
terminals. Great value for room only. Only wish - as
Hilton honours members would have liked access to
the exec lounge. |

We thought the Hotel refurbishment was stunning and
the room extremely comfortable. The bed and
bathroom were excellent and very spacious. However
we arrived late at night and tired after a long journey.
There were no trolleys at the airport sign to the hotel
(and it's a long way with 3 heavy cases a rucksack
AND hold all!). Carlos The receptionist at check-in said
the room was "just down the corridor and turn left" it
actually took forever - he didn't mention the lift to a
different floor then another long corridor to room 7007.
We weren't offered a trolley or a porter and he could
see our baggage (a couple we met the next day said a
porter had took them to their room). Furthermore
there are NO floor or room numbers visible when the
lift door opens (they are round the corner!!!) so how
do you know which floor you are on! We went back
and forth for 15 minutes leaving us extremely stressed
and shattered by the time we arrived at our room. I
rang reception to suggest they should address it and
the foreign lady didn't understand what I was saying.
Shower pressure was also very light and temperature
fluctuating - not good on sunburn. Loads of tea but 1
coffee sachet each so we requested more. Despite this
the staff were very helpful particularly when we stayed
an extra night as I'd hurt my foot and couldn't walk
easily. I would stay again as these are issues that can
easily be addressed. |
