Though it is designed for visitors to the nearby Olympia Exhibition Centre, there are plenty of other reasons to stay at the Hilton Olympia, not least it's location at the heart of one of London's finest shopping and eating neighbourhoods. The building is a bit of an eyesore in this otherwise attractive part of London, but inside it is sleek, modern, well-designed and comfortable.

This hotel was mostly considered to be in a “very good location” as it is “very easy to move around town” from here. There are buses “running in front of the hotel” and Kensington Tube is nearby too. The “attentive” and “friendly” staff were praised for treating each guest “as an individual rather than one of a crowd”, although there were some complaints of “broken” room fittings being reported but no one coming to fix them. A few rooms were also found to be “too hot” but many liked the “very comfortable” beds. Service in the bar and restaurant was described as “excellent”, even if drink prices are “rather high”, and guests commented on the “splendid” breakfast buffet.

Our room was a little noisy. the window overlooked
the inner courtyard where there was a huge air
conditioning unit which chugged 24/7. we couldn't
have the window open because of the noise and
even with it shut it still meant we had to turn the TV
up to hear it!!  |

Stayed 2 nights and room wasn't made up for the 2nd night, we had to make our own bed. Bar service was very slow and my husband asked for a glass of port and the Barman insisted Tio Pepe was port when in fact it is a sherry and they would not change the drink. The room looked out onto a brick wall and a heating shaft, even when the curtains were open the room was as dark as night as no natural light could get into the room. |

I was a bit disappointed that I had to have a cold
shower on the first day - that wa slightly appeased by
some drinks vouchers and the room service my wife
got for breakfast when she ran late as result - even
though she had to do a "basin" bath - she was made
happy by the breakfast. But - other than that your staff
were most pleasant and helpful. Car parking is a bit
over the top but I guess that's London for you. It is a
nice hotel with a rich blend of people always happy to
shine a smile. |

I liked many aspects of the hotel. The double bed, so
that my wife could stay for a few days, the quality of the
breakfast, details like the pillows, the reading light, the
lack of noise from the street, in general an efficiently run
hotel. The only think I would change is wifi availability,
not an expensive day charge. Excellent hotel |
