The heating advice/arrangements within the room
were inadequate, confusing and quite frankly,
stupid. One shouldn't have to ring reception to
try to increase the room temperature. ,For a
modern hotel this is unacceptable as well as
being totally baffling. Warm air came from a
ceiling vent, the fan was noisy and there were no
instructions at all regarding the functioning of
the small control panel set in the wall. It was
pure guesswork as to how things worked - not
helped by the time-lag in changes to the fan
speed which we eventually managed to
understand. The absence of any drawers for
clothing items and the minimum amount of
hanging space was ludicrous and for two people
staying more than two or three nights this would
be - and was - a confounded nuisance. Again,
baffling in the extreme for a modern hotel. The
room was equipped as a "disabled" room
complete with wet-room and emergency call-
bells but we were not advised as to why we had
been put in such room and we would have
preferred a conventional shower arrangement as
water had a tendency to splash outside the
shower curtain in the bathroom. However, the
breakfast arrangements were excellent
considering that this was inclusive in the price
which itself was more than reasonable for
London. Despite the irritations, we would go
back.  |
