Halfway between the City and the west End, the Bloomsbury area is an oasis of calm in the very heart of the capital. It's a lovely district to just wander around in, but many of London's biggest attractions are also in easy walking distance. The Holiday Inn King's Cross/Bloomsbury is an elegant building, inside and out, with a great gym and excellent facilities.

OUr stay in this Holiday Inn Bloomsbury lived up to our expectations. It was very handy for our area and easy walking distance to theater land and the West End.

I would recommend this hotel as good value for money, helpful staff, great pool, clean and tidy. A couple of things they could look at to improve: not allowing smoking anywhere in the building and insisting on this. the lifts and corridors smelt very unpleasant at times. The windows in our rooms were broken and banged open and shut during one very blustery night. As vegans we could not find anything desirable to eat in the restaurants - not even for breakfast. The fruit salad we were offered was tinned pear and grapefruit!
Still, it is located near several excellent restaurants so this was not much of a problem or us. |

The name kings cross-Bloomsbury is very confussing to a visitor. I ended up going to the Bloomsbury hotel as I thought Bloomsbury was part of kings cross area. the reception at both hotels advised me it happens all the time with the kingscross recetionist having just sent 5 americans to the Bloomsbury hotel. If the hotel names where seperated it would avoid consion and fustration arriving at the wrong hotel. It was a nice evening so didn't mind the 15min walk but might be less happy where it raining!!!!! |
