Sympathetically restored, evidence of the building's original character mixes with modern touches including a lively bar and the newly opened Restaurant - The Jam Cupboard.

This Kensington hotel has been praised by visitors who found it “clean and bright” and “extremely convenient for underground, shopping and tourist attractions”, museums as well as Kensington Town Hall. Though rooms have been described as “very small” some found they were at a “reasonable price by London standards”. Rooms at the front of the hotel can be noisy due to the traffic so you may want to “specify a quiet room”. The “excellent” location, “lovely breakfast” and “very obliging” reception staff have prompted several visitors to plan a return visit; one said, “I would definitely book to stay at this hotel again”.

Great location. Hotel decor was lovely, rooms were clean, tidy with all amenities just like the pictures shown on website. Beds & pillows lovely & comfortable. Staff were relatively helpful. Only downside was big airconditioning unit on the outside but next to our room on ground floor which was noisy at night. |

The only problem I had was that, I stayed in room 206 and the noise from the room above between 2 pm - 3pm sounded like they were walking around and moving furniture. |
