This West End Art Deco hotel right on the Strand and next to Covent Garden is in a fantastic location for accessing central London and theatreland. Although much of the original 1930s decor was taken out in the sixties, the hotel boasts an impressive marble foyer and Art Deco touches - see the lower ground floor staircase. The imposing nine-storey building houses 785 rooms, a late license bar and brasserie restaurant.

We stayed 1 night in a twin room on a Friday night. This
hotel is lovely and in a beautiful location. It has places
to eat and drink but we didn't use them as we were so
close to China Town and Covent Garden. The staff were
really courteous and friendly. The hotel and room was
clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. |

Rooms are tired and in need of attention from an
infrastructural perspective. Rooms on the perimeter of
the building are terribly cold in winter months. Large
windows don't seal and cold air is drawn into the room.
Otherwise clean and reasonable. |
