Little Venice's tranquil waterways, colourful narrow boats and meandering canals are easily reached from The Colonnade. However it's also served by good connections, just two minutes from Warwick Avenue Tube. Inside there's a comfy lounge with deep sofas, high ceilings, original period features and bedrooms with terraces ' some have four-poster beds. Classical music welcomes guests and a there's a good tapas restaurant. Please note: the hotel is undergoing some refurbishment works, resulting in scaffolding being erected outside the hotel

I would recommend that one doesn't have hotel staff summarily walking into one's room on a regular basis without knocking and furthermore that workmen assigned to renovations should not start hammering and banging much before 10 a.m. in the morning. The hotel in itself is wonderful but there is a way to go in respect of service and follow through. One shouldn't have to call the front desk 4x for the same thing.... beautiful character but this is tarnished by the poor attention to detail.  |
