The service at this central hotel is “great”; “when there was no hot water one morning… they simply upgraded me to a better room… with wine and chocolate as an apology”. It’s also extremely well located for “areas of interest and the Underground” as well as Victoria railway station offering “easy access from the Gatwick Express”. “Clean rooms” are “well equipped and of a good size” There is “no freeview” so you only get the basic five TV terrestrial channels. Clearly, these details don’t bother most visitors who “wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel” while others have already "booked for another night’s stay”. One fan enthusiastically describes it as a “charming, romantic place… like a home away from home”.

The room was very nice and bed was very comfortable but what I didn't like were the drafts in the halls and lifts as well as unpleasant smells at times in the lifts and in some washrooms. |
