Overlooking the gardens of Montague Garden Square, this sedate hotel has a peaceful feel even though the British Museum is right next door and Covent Garden's theatres and cafés are just five minutes' walk away. Afternoon tea in a conservatory overlooking the gardens is a treat. Don't be fooled by the rooms' traditional appearances, all come with the latest technology.

Staff are friendly but not well informed. We were told
that a taxi from the hotel to Gatwick could cost "about
£90" on a bank holiday. This was almost double what
we ended up paying! Also, we were promised a garden
view room for a £30 upgrade. The room probably did
have a view- if you were 8 feet tall and could see over
the garden shed! We certainly will not be staying here
again. ![]() |

All the staff were friendly, ready to help and personal.
Hotel is clean, well maintained and has nice spaces to sit
and chat. Lots of extra small touches, eg lovely nibbles
with my glass of wine. I like specials like that.
Handy to tubes, walking to museum etc and great coffee
shops. Very happy stay ![]() |
