Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch

Open 1st May 2016

335-337 Old Street, Hoxton, London, EC1V 9LL

Tube: Old Street Station

If you didn't already know (the name gives you a clue), the Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch reveals its former life through the VIP booths in the bar - where prison cells are for cocktails, rather than spending a night in the slammer. The Old Magistrates Court and Police Station, a beautiful Grade II listed Edwardian building located in the heart of Shoreditch opposite the old Shoreditch Town Hall, has been converted into a 5 star boutique hotel complete with bowling alley, screening room, basement pool and a rooftop bar. The hotel has 128 guest rooms, a mix of new rooms and restoration of existing spaces, suites and function areas. The building, originally housing two court rooms and run as a courthouse for almost a century from 1903 until 1996, now has a restaurant, three bars including the one on the roof, event spaces roomy enough for up to 800 people, mini cinema and two lane bowling alley as well a working hub - that's bound to go down well with the remote workers of Shoreditch.
