Brixton Village: Day of the DeadA Mariachi band, Latin American food and chill rum hot chocolate bring the Day of the Dead to Brixton Village at a free party this Saturday 1st November. Find the female-fronted Mexican duo, Las Guadalupes, in the courtyard on Coldharbour Lane where they'll host a talk exploring the folklore behind the Mexican festival, demystifying their art form in between songs. Enjoy the music while Brixton Village favourites, Jalisco and Casa Morita - both family-run restaurants with deep ties to Latin America and the Dia de Muertos - serve up authentic Latin American dishes. Temporary taco and margarita bars will be set up and churros and tacos served outside Casa Morita in Brixton Market. Next door, Seven cocktail bar is offering five pound margaritas and a smashing pinata for all ages.
