Visitor Information
Nearly as mature as Monmouth Coffee House in Covent Garden, Coffee Plant is really an importer and roaster with a coffee shop on the side. They started off selling beans from a stall out on the pavement, but these days the excellently prepared coffee is served up by staff who know their oats (or beans in this case). Set up by journalist Ian Henshall in 1985, the coffee shop opened in 1997 and continues in the same organic, fairly traded vein today.
