This is the third branch of Burger & Lobster, following the success (see queues) of the original Burger & Lobster in Mayfair (opened in 2011) which was swifty followed by a second, larger restaurant in Soho (July 2012). With this Farringdon branch on St John Street (opened on the Bistro du Vin site at the end of 2012) the Burger & Lobster story is set to run and run. Set up by the guys behind Goodman's steakhouses, the concept is a simple one. The menu simply features lobster, lobster roll or burger. Not sure which to have? Go halves with a dining companion and get the best of both worlds. Inside, the restaurant appeals with its red leather seating, wooden flooring and lobster tanks where you can see your seafood, tagged with its weight, for which you pay by the pound. At the bar you can get draft beers and cocktails listed under B(urger) and L(obster) so you can choose which to have depending on what's on your plate.
