Located in a beautiful glass-fronted premises between Liverpool Street Station and Spitalfields Market, Monsieur Le Duck is a new six-month pop-up focusing on duck, chips, salad and wine. The 55 cover restaurant is fronted by Londoner Richard Humphreys, a frequent traveler to Gascony, and managed by George Ryan, previously at Village East, Rail House Cafe and Burger & Lobster. Together they've created a restaurant that recreates the long lunches in village squares in South-West France. Evoking the idea of douceur de vivre, roughly translated as 'sweetness of living', Monsieur Le Duck is a place to enjoy carafes of French wine, Armagnac, and, most importantly, duck... lots of duck. The small menu centres on duck cooked three ways - Confit Duck Leg, Duck Magret Breast or Duck Burger - each served with chips and a mixed leaf salad.
