After being forces to close as its original location, 5 Amhurst Road, Rawduck reopens in Hackney, at 97 Richmond Road near London Fields. This wine shop, cafe, bar and restaurant is from the team behind Soho restaurant Ducksoup, aka chef Julian Biggs, Clare Lattin and Rory McCoy. At Rawduck they've replicated the features that make their Soho original so popular - the record player where you can be DJ, and the natural and bio-dynamic wines to drink in or take away. On the blackboard menu there's prosciutto and ricotta Hackney Bun, salmon and curd toast, boiled hen's egg with buttered sourdough soldiers in the morning. Lunchtime sandwiches include the Reuben with pastrami, saurkraut, melted Swiss cheese and wasabi mayo, or the Dirty Bird with chilli roast chicken, iceberg lettuce and jalapeno mayo. From 5pm choices include raw chopped beef, shaved radish, sriacha and parmesan or bottarga and mozzarella, creme fraiche and San Danielle and garlic sourdough crumbs.
