For after dinner cocktails or drinks in a sophisticated City setting, the Threadneedle Bar within the historic Royal Exchange serves a regularly changing cocktail menu inspired by Jerry Thomas' 1982 'Bartenders Guide'. If you like your whisky with a tint of citrus try the John Haig's Crusta - a mix of Haig Club with Mandarine Imperial, lemon juice, gomme syrup and orange blossom essence shaken and served in a whisky sour glass for a refreshing kick. The Mexican Couperee - a twist on the West India Couperee - is made with vanilla liqueur foam, Patron Anejo, Citronge, lime juice and homemade Falernum. With a bar food menu of sharing plates, the Threadneedle Bar is one of three D&D London spaces - along with an all-day dining Gallery and Restaurant Sauterelle - all on the mezzanine level of the Royal Exchange, overlooking the Grand Cafe and shops below.
