On Riverlight Quay near Battersea Power Station stands Young's pub Nine Elms Tavern, named after the neighbourhood created by the regeneration of the Nine Elms site in Battersea. Surrounded by embassies and gently bobbing houseboats, the spruced up pub combines a casual and contemporary menu - small plates, sourdough flatbreads and pub classics - with craft ales and a dedicated spritz menu. Starter sized small plates offer choices of homemade meatballs, buttermilk chicken and bites with chilli jam. Sourdough flatbreads, cooked in their own stonebake oven, are topped with heritage tomato, Suffolk chorizo, and roasted courgette with summer peas, goat's cheese, mint and watercress. But sometime you just want classic pub grub like Young's ale battered cod, chips and mushy peas, and sausages with mashed potato, gravy and onion rings.
