We can't help but feel that Boris Johnson would approve of Ping, a cavernous venue which serves cocktails, pizzas and ping pong (or whiff whaff if your name's Boris) and stays open till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. With backing from the team behind Bungalow 8 and run by the Love Brunch lot, Ping offers alcohol-fuelled table tennis which can only become more furiously competitive after a number of watermelon and frozen fruit vodka cocktails (called The Chandler Ping) have been consumed. Cocktails are accompanied by freshly-made pizzas, bruschettas and flatbreads and there's the chance for serious competitors to take to the tables on' Tournament Tuesdays'. Given the popularity of outdoor ping pong tables with sprang up all over London during the summer of the 2012 Olympics, Ping certainly has its finger on the pulse. With the opening of Ping, coupled with the arrival of Bounce in Holborn, we're anticipating the start of a table tennis trend in London town.
