Historic pub the Fellowship Inn was given a new lease of life in 2019 when The Electric Star Group reopened it as The Fellowship and Star. Originally built in 1923, the Grade II listed building was the first-ever pub to be built on a London housing estate. In the 1960s, it also acted as a popular music venue with the likes of Fleetwood Mac and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers performing live and a training venue for heavyweight boxer Henry Cooper ahead of his 1963 fight against Muhammad Ali. Having fallen into disrepair in the 1980s, the historic venue has now reopened following a top-to-bottom, £4 million renovation. Not only does it feature a brand-new pub serving beer from local brewers, it's also home to a classic-style cinema, a café and a live music stage. The cinema is used to show the latest films along with popcorn, sausage rolls and food from the bar while the live music stage welcomes an eclectic line-up of performers.
