Gladstone Park is a peaceful oasis in the middle of North London. Much of its charm comes from the tree-lined avenues crisscrossing the green expanse and dating back to the turn of the 20th century. It's definitely possible to while away a couple of hours wandering down these paths, stopping off en route to feed the ducks, admire the colourful flowers, mosey round The Stables art gallery, visit the Holocaust Memorial or pop into the cafe. For the more active among us the park has sports facilities including tennis courts and pitches for team games. The park was originally going to be called Dollis Hill Park but it was named after Sir William Gladstone because of its associations with the former Prime Minister.
