Walk among the tree tops at Kew Gardens when you take the Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway, 18 metres above the ground. Designed by Marks Barfield Architects, the team who brought us the London Eye, the scenic 200 metre walkway takes you on an educational journey from tree root to leaf tip. Entering through what looks like a crack in the ground, you take the circular staircase up into the air arriving at a canopy of sweet chestnuts, limes and broad-leaved oaks. Wander along the elevated walkway and discover birds, insects, lichens and fungi that live there while taking in the birds-eye view over Kew's expansive 300 acres of greenery.
