The adapted Olympic BMX Track, the home of the BMX Cycling competition in the 2012 London Olympics, reopens to the public on 4th March 2014, a year and eight months after the Games. The floodlit undulating 400 metre track at the former Olympic Park in Stratford has been adapted so that members of the public - from beginners to more advanced riders - can use it. The toughest challenges of London 2012 course remain so experienced riders can get a taste of the Olympic course. The track is floodlit so you can ride from early in the morning to late evening and coaching for all levels of ability is available. The BMX track is part of the Lee Valley VeloPark which combines four cycling disciplines in one venue and includes eight kilometres of mountain bike trails, a one mile road racing circuit, a cafe, cycle hire and workshop facilities, and the 6,000 seater Olympics Velodrome, all opening on 4th March 2014.
