This long-established royal warrant holding chocolatier, set up in 1875 at the behest of Edward VII, has been making the finest chocolate in traditional French style for 130 years. In spite of Charbonnel et Walker's continental origins - chocolates are still hand-made to the traditional recipes of Parisian chocolatier Madame Charbonnel - the goodies feel very English. The original Bond Street store, the historic home of Charbonnel et Walker, was followed by shops in Canary Wharf and this outlet in Liverpool Street Station - the perfect place to pick up a last minute present before you board the train.
