Opened in April 2015 as a 6 month pop up by Hummingbird Cafe owners, Hummingbird Deli offers healthy deli food to go for Shepherds Bush locals on the site of the old Gregg's Bakery at the Bush Green end of Uxbridge Road. At the deli, Hummingbird owners Lorraine (a Kiwi) and Brahim from Morocco sell baked goodies, beautiful salads and gourmet sandwiches, freshly made daily. Samples include Scandinavian cinnamon buns, ham, pepper and pesto savoury pinwheels and chipotle pulled pork and homemade slaw as the hot sarnie of the day. Coffee is also a speciality, supplied by Ozone Coffee Roasters in east London. The deli has a small space to eat in and also serves well as a place to grab a quick bite before going to the Bush Theatre - opposite - or one of the local music venues. Show your support - if the locals love it, the deli will be staying on.
