A one-stop-shop combining espresso bar, deli restaurant and grocery store, The Grocer gives London City Island residents a place to eat, enjoy morning coffee and pick up essentials without leaving the island. the independent Grocer merges retail and restaurant. Designed by Amos & Amos, the bar area sits front of an open chef's table, with an arabescato bartop sitting over a rough-cut oak veneer base, reminiscent of dockside timbers found on the Thames-side site. A large chilled display unit is home to smoothies, cheese, fish, meat and deli sandwiches while fresh produce and baked goods are displayed on a central display table under filament pendants. At the back is the restaurant, enjoy pizza and Italian tapas while sitting in deep navy leather banquettes or on pale green chairs at white marble dining tables.
