A built-up, poorer part of South London, SE5's Camberwell is not bursting with hotels or attractions, although it is home to one of London's most important contemporary art spaces, the South London Gallery. Camberwell is referenced in the film Withnail and I, during which one character makes a cannabis cigarette (or 'joint') made with 12 rolling papers which he refers to as the "Camberwell carrot". Famous SE5 residents include Florence Welsh, the singer of the band Florence the Machine. More
