Overlooking Kensington Gardens on the Bayswater side of the park, Thistle Hyde Park is an elegant Victorian hotel but which also comes with all modern amenities. If your room is on the park you'll benefit from some pleasant views. Rooms do come in various shapes and lay-outs but all have marble bathrooms, complimentary WiFi and most are a good size.

-Hotel was clean and a good representation of an older London hotel. It is not a corporate hotel which we found charming and wonderful.
-Be aware that the plumbing is older, so the toilets need to be held when flushed and the shower takes a moment to heat, but if you are open to dealing with these things its great!
-Only negative was that I requested a taxi that accepted American Express, and when it arrived it in fact did NOT which was inconvenient, |

We had a lovely stay at the Thistle. The staff were really
friendly and when we had arrived they had allocated us
an upgraded room and left some birthday treats as I
mentioned it was my partner's birthday. It was much
appreciated and made our stay even more comfortable. |
